Bradenton City Council Agenda Results: February 13, 2013

BRADENTON – At Wednesday's meeting, the Bradenton City Council approved the operation and licensing of a brewery set to open later in the year. The facility, which will be called Motorworks Brewing, will be located in the city adjacent to the Village of the Arts. Other business at the meeting included approval of a resolution that would create an official conduct code policy for the council, as well as authorizing the transfer of funds to complete landscaping of the basketball court and parking area at Glazier Gates Park.

7. BUSINESS/ADVERTISING, PETITIONS, HEARINGS AND COMMUNICATIONS

In a discussion met with no opposition, the council approved all requests by Frank and Denise Tschida to open Motorworks Brewing at 1014 9th Street West, including an alcohol license, operation of a tasting room and lounge and beer garden that would be open until 2am, as well as live music that would cease at 10pm. Speaking after the meeting, Mr. Tschida said that while an opening date has not yet been determined, they hope to have the facility up and running as early as May.
