Bradenton Wins Against Jupiter 1-0

JUPITER – The Marauders (36-34, 1-0) rode dominant pitching to a 1-0 win over the Jupiter Hammerheads (27-43, 0-1) to open the second half on Thursday night at Roger Dean Stadium. Tyler Glasnow (W, 4-3) fired six innings in his fourth straight scoreless start, striking out seven while allowing two hits and two walks. 

The Marauders plated their only run in the top of the third inning off Austin Brice (L, 4-6) Adam Frazier walked, moved to second base on a wild pitch, went to third on Max Moroff’s ground out, then scored on a sacrifice fly by Josh Bell. Brice pitched seven innings in defeat for Jupiter. 

Josh Smith pitched two innings, facing the minimum and striking out two in relief of Glasnow. Bryton Trepagnier (S, 6) walked two in the ninth, but teamed with Jacob Stallings to get a strike out-throw out double play while collecting his sixth save. 

Jordan Steranka and Taylor Lewis each had two hits for the Marauders. 

Game two of the series is Friday night at 5:35 p.m. All-stars Orlando Castro for Bradenton and Scott Lyman for Jupiter will face off on the mound. The game will be broadcast on www.BradentonMarauders.com.
