Bradenton's Ludwig Earns FSL Pitcher of the Week Honors

BRADENTON – Marauders starting pitcher Pat Ludwig has been named the Florida State League Pitcher of the Week for the period August 12-August 18. Ludwig pitched seven scoreless innings against the Palm Beach Cardinals on Wednesday in a 3-1 win.

Ludwig helped the Marauders take three out of four games from Palm Beach. The Cardinals managed just nine runs in the series. He tossed a career high seven innings and set a new career high in strikeouts with seven. The Cardinals managed just two singles and one walk against the former Yale University right hander.

With the win, Ludwig is now 1-2 with the Marauders and 7-2 combined between Bradenton and low-A West Virginia. He has a 4.82 ERA and has stuck out 26 batters in 10 appearances with the Marauders.

Luddwig resides in Okemos, Michigan. He is in his second season of professional baseball.
