Brewster Charles Seewald, 96, of Holmes Beach, FL and Andover, MA died Friday, August 30, 2024.
Bruce was born to Edith and Charles Seewald on May 12, 1928, in Medford, MA. He was a proud World War II Veteran, who joined the Navy at 17 years old.
He was full of adventure and loved to travel, go boating, fish and play golf. An Engineer by trade, coupled with his sense of adventure, led him to run his own business and travel the world. He was the President of Seewald Corporation for over 20 years. A small import export company that specialized in custom plastics and electronics. When he wasn't working, he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and spent many hours volunteering with his wife of 66 years, Priscilla. He was always very active in the church, and a long-time member of Roser Church on Anna Maria Island. His community and friends were also very important to him. He was a member of the Anna Maria Island Power Squadron, Key Royal Club, AMI Center, Moose, and many other organizations.
Bruce is survived by his daughter, Lisa Turner and her husband, Wayne, as well as his two grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on September 20, 2024, at Roser Church 512 Pine Avenue, Anna Maria Island, and his burial service will follow at 2:30 PM at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
