After last week's marathon of government meetings, this week has just one.
The Palmetto City Commission meets Monday night at 7 p.m. at Palmetto City Hall, 516 Eighth Ave. W. in Palmetto.
Among the items on the agenda are a plan for spill prevention in the city's fuel storage tanks, a change in the pay for the CRA's strategic planning specialist, the foreclosure of a city lien filed in July 2008, foreclosure of additional city liens filed in March, April and May 2008, and a motion to approve the 2010-214 Capital Improvement Plan.
Business
There are two business stories this week, one about a French medical equipment maker that has opened a site in Manatee County, and another about a distribution facility in Punta Gorda built by Halfacre Construction.
