Business and government: The week ahead

It's a busy week in government this week.

Manatee County School Board

The School Board will meet at 5:45 p.m. Monday at the school district's headquarters, 215 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. The board will hear about the status of the Manatee Core Curriculum, an update from the Manatee Education Foundation and will consider whether to advertise an amendment and set a public hearing on the homeless student policy.

Manatee County Commission

The County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Commission Chambers at 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. The commission will hear presentations on the canal dredging assessments for Warner's East and West Bayou, the Eagle Pointe Subdivision and the Health Information Exchange.

Bradenton City Council

The Bradenton City Council will meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at City Hall, 101 Old Main St. in Bradenton. The council will consider a request for land use amendments, changes to the police officers' retirement system and a request for a special use at 704 Manatee Ave. E.

• The Value Adjustment Board Special Magistrate will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in the Fountain Conference Room at the Manatee County Administrative Center, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.

• The Neglected Cemeteries Ad Hoc Task Force will meet at 5 p.m. Monday at the County Administrative Center in Room 354, third floor.

• The Anna Maria Code Enforcement Board will meet at 5 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 10005 Gulf Drive, Anna Maria.

• The Longboat Key Code Enforcement Board will meeting at 10 a.m. Monday at Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key.

• The Palmetto CRA Advisory Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Palmetto City Hall, 516 Eighth Ave. W., Palmetto.

• The Bradenton Beach Budget Orientation Meeting will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 107 Gulf Drive N., Bradenton Beach.

• The Bradenton Beach City Commission Work Meeting will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 107 Gulf Drive N., Bradenton Beach.

• The Manatee County Code Enforcement Board will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the County Administrative Center.

• The Bradenton Downtown Development Authority Public Art Advisory Board will meet at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at City Hall, 101 Old Main St., Bradenton, in the Conference Room.

• The Manatee County Planning Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday at the County Administrative Center.

• The Anna Maria City Commission and Planning & Zoning Worksession will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Anna Maria City Hall, 10005 Gulf Drive, Anna Maria.

• The Longboat Key Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Longboat Key Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key.
