BRADENTON – Sarasota's Elizabeth Cuevas-Neunder will be on the ballot challenging incumbent Florida Governor Rick Scott for the GOP nomination for the office. Before seeking the nomination for governor, Cueves-Neunder failed in bids for the Florida House in 2006 and the Sarasota County School Board in 2004.

According to her website:

"I am running on a platform on restoring God, the State, and strong family values to all our wonderful state which is a true melting pot of cultures, languages, and religions. I humbly ask for the vote and support of all those who want their voice heard."

Cuevas-Neunder is also the founder of the Puerto Rican Chambers of Commerce for Sarasota and Manatee Counties.

She has managed to raise under $2,000 in financial contributions, building little to no statewide name recognition for the race.
