Education: Bachelor's in General Engineering & American Politics & Diplomacy from US Military Academy at West Point

Frank Brunner served on the Manatee County School Board for 10 years (from 1996 to 2006) before giving up the seat for an unsuccessful run at the Manatee County Commission in 2006. Brunner is challenging incumbent district 4 board member Karen Carpenter in the August election.

A long-time resident of Palmetto, Brunner signed a one-year lease on a one-bedroom apartment in Bradenton last month to qualify for running for the District 4 seat.
