BRADENTON -- Are you thinking about running for an elected office? There's still time, but the qualifying period to get on this year's ballot in most races is coming to a close this week.
The qualifying period for all Statewide, Multi-county, County, and Special District Candidates; City of Anna Maria, Bradenton, Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, and City of Palmetto races ends at noon this Friday, June 20.
If you haven't been collecting signatures, you might have to pay the qualifying fee. The amount of both vary by race. Information on qualifying and other candidate requirements can be found
here.
The qualifying periods for US Representative, Judicial, State Attorney & Public Defender Candidates ended May 2, but the Trailer Estates Park & Rec District is open until October 3.
