BRADENTON -- A surface ridge

of high pressure will gradually build in over the Central Peninsula and over the eastern Gulf waters through the end of the week. Isolated showers or thunderstorms will be possible each day, especially near the coast in the afternoons and evenings.

Thursday
Northwest winds around 5 knots becoming west in the late morning and afternoon. Bay and inland waters smooth. There will be isolated thunderstorms. Thursday night will bring northwest winds around 5 knots becoming east around 5 knots in the late evening and overnight. Bay and inland waters smooth. There will be isolated thunderstorms in the evening.
