BRADENTON -- High pressure across the northern Gulf today will retreat into the western Atlantic during Thursday and Friday. A weak and disorganized tropical wave is expected to move into South Florida later today and into the central Gulf of Mexico tonight through Thursday. This will bring increasing rain chances and slightly higher winds and seas. Conditions will return to quiet weather with high pressure in control during Saturday and Sunday.

East winds around 10 knots. Bay and inland waters a light chop. Scattered thunderstorms. Thursday night will bring southeast winds around 10 knots. Bay and inland waters a light chop. Scattered thunderstorms in the evening, then isolated thunderstorms after midnight.
Friday
