BRADENTON -- Strong low pressure moving through the Mississippi Valley will push a front through the Gulf today and into the eastern coastal waters early Thursday. The front will be accompanied by showers and thunderstorms tonight and Thursday. Winds and seas increase around and behind the front then diminish by the weekend as a large area of high pressure builds in.

Thursday
South winds around 15 knots becoming west late in the afternoon. Seas will be 2 to 4 feet. Bay and inland waters a moderate chop. There will be a chance of thunderstorms. Fishing during major solunar periods from 4:26 a.m. - 6:26 a.m. and 4:50 p.m. - 6:50 p.m., or during minor solunar periods from 9:49 a.m. - 10:49 a.m. and 11:52 p.m. - 12:52 a.m. will produce average results.
Tides: High at 4:13 a.m., low at 8:48 a.m. (0.72), high at 2:55 p.m. (2.07), low at 11:23 p.m. (-0.11)

Friday
North winds around 20 knots. Seas will be 3 to 5 feet. Bay and inland waters will be choppy. Friday night will bring northeast winds around 15 knots. Seas will be 2 to 4 feet. Bay and inland waters a moderate chop. Fishing during major solunar periods from 5:15 a.m. - 7:15 a.m. and 5:41 p.m. - 7:41 p.m., or during the minor solunar period from 10:34 a.m. - 11:34 a.m. will produce average results.
Tides: High at 5:42 a.m. (0.91), low at 8:55 a.m. (0.83), High at 3:39 p.m. (2.06)

Saturday
North winds around 10 knots. Seas will be 2 feet. Bay and inland waters a light chop. Saturday night will bring northeast winds around 10 knots. Seas will be 2 to 3 feet. Bay and inland waters a light chop. Fishing during major solunar periods from 6:07 a.m. - 8:07 a.m., 6:34 p.m. - 8:34 p.m., or during minor solunar periods from 12:47 a.m. - 1:47 a.m. and 11:26 a.m. - 12:26 p.m. will produce average results.

Sunday
Northwest winds around 5 knots. Seas will be 2 feet. Bay and inland waters smooth. Fishing during major solunar periods from 8:02 a.m. - 10:02 a.m. and 8:29 p.m. - 10:29 p.m., or during minor solunar periods from 2:41 a.m. - 3:41 a.m. and 1:22 p.m. - 2:22 p.m. will produce average results.
