BRADENTON -- A weak frontal boundary is expected to remain over the eastern Gulf waters through the week. The pressure gradient has relaxed which will allow winds and seas to continue to subside today. A surface high-pressure ridge is expected to build in from the east over the weekend.

 

Thursday

South winds around 10 knots becoming west in the afternoon. Bay and inland waters a light chop. Scattered thunderstorms. Thursday night will bring northwest winds around 5 knots becoming east overnight. Bay and inland waters smooth. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.

 

Friday

Southeast winds around 5 knots becoming west around 10 knots in the afternoon. Bay and inland waters a light chop. Scattered thunderstorms. Friday night will bring west winds around 5 knots becoming southeast overnight. Bay and inland waters smooth. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the evening.

 

Saturday

Southeast winds around 5 knots becoming northwest 5 to 10 knots in the afternoon. Bay and inland waters smooth. Scattered thunderstorms. Saturday night will bring north winds around 5 knots becoming east around 10 knots overnight. Bay and inland waters a light chop. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the evening.
