Carl D. Ten Eyck, a man of service, craftsmanship, and adventure, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at Unity Medical Center in Manchester, Tennessee. He was 86 years old.

Born in Monnett, Ohio, to Perry Holmes Ten Eyck and Cora Etta Ten Eyck, Carl grew up with a strong work ethic and a deep sense of duty. After graduating from high school, he served his country with pride as an honorably discharged member of the United States Airforce. He dedicated many years of hard work to the maintenance department at Whirlpool and helping Shaffer Farms in Upper Sandusky. After retirement, Carl took a part time job in Bradenton, Florida, working at the Pittsburg Pirates Baseball Stadium. Carl also worked part time as a maintenance man at the retirement park, Pescara Lake, where they resided as snowbirds. Carl also worked part time helping one of his best friends, Van Oquinn, on his Air BNBs and appliance store.

Carl was a man of many passions and deep community ties. A lifelong Mason, he served with distinction as the President of the Amvets and was also a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He also believed in the power of mentorship, giving back to his community as a Big Brother in the Big Brother/Big Sister program.

An avid outdoorsman, Carl was truly at home on the water and in the woods. He was the captain of his own fishing charter boat and a recognized VIP Camper at East Harbor State Park on Lake Erie.

When he wasn't on the water, he was often found operating his Ham Radio or tinkering in his garage with his beloved wood burner.
For 66 years, Carl shared his life with his wife, Mary Edith Ten Eyck. Together, they spent many happy years square dancing. He leaves behind his adored toy poodle, Tinkerbell.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife Mary Edith Ten Eyck (Newman), grandparents, Daniel Eugene Ten Eyck and Bertha Elmina "Bertie" Strickler; his parents, Cora Etta Palm and Perry Ten Eyck; and his siblings, Arthur Eugene Ten Eyck (Ruth), Robert Lee Ten Eyck (Catherine), Vivian Loulinn Ten Eyck (Herman Burling), Violet Marie Ten Eyck (Louis Hill), James Edward Ten Eyck (Vivian Jean), Cora Loulinn Ten Eyck (Edward Hursey), Raymond Charles Ten Eyck (Janet), and Judy Kay Ten Eyck (Russell Wayne Jolley).
