Carl F. Welch, of Palmetto, passed away September 11, 2022, in Bradenton, Florida.

Carl was born on January 26, 1933, in Daytona Beach, Florida. His parents were George W. and Hattie Sue Welch.

He is survived by his dear friend, Dottie Favorite, two sons, Eric and his wife, Susannah, and Jody, five grandchildren, Peyton, Avery, Ethan, Carleigh, and Grant, and two brothers, Larry Welch, and his wife, Margaret, and Mike, and his wife, Sue, a brother-in-law, John Hendrix, and a sister-in-law, Mary Jean Welch, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an older brother, Billy D. Welch, an older sister, Betty Zane Welch Allen, and a younger sister, Julia Dawn Welch Hendrix.

Carl served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, as a cryptologist, stationed in Japan. He loved music and was an avid singer with a beautiful voice, and he and his friend, Dottie, entertained many with their karaoke equipment and skills. He also loved to roller skate, and could do almost anything on skates. He worked as a dispatcher for the Alachua County Sheriff's Department, and for the Florida Highway Patrol in both Bay County and Manatee County. He retired from the Highway Patrol.

The Funeral Service will be held on October 13, 2022, at 11:30 A.M. At the Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida.
