Carl William Miller, 92, of Sarasota, transitioned to his new heavenly home on Sunday evening, August 20th, where he joins Helen Louise Miller, his wife of 60 years, and other loved ones who had gone before him. Carl was born in New Britian, Connecticut, to Robert W. Miller and Helen T. Postal Miller, had two brothers (Robert E. Miller and William Miller), and lived in Connecticut until he and Helen moved to Florida.
He leaves six children, including Gary (Evelyn) Miller (Berlin, CT), Ron (Nancy) Miler (Yardley, PA), Carleen (Gary) Prignon (Sarasota, Florida), Timothy (Fran) Miller (Lorida, Fl), Valerie (Tom) Mangan (Bradenton, Fl), and Marcy Brown (Sarasota, Fl), 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was employed by Emhart/Black and Decker, as foreman of the Keying/Assembly department for 34 years. Helen and Carl moved to Florida in 1987.
A celebration of life for Carl will be held at Bethel Church, 1805 30th Avenue West, Bradenton, Fl, on September 8th, at 11:00 am. Memorial Contributions may be made to Bethel Church Memorial Committee.
