Carmen Lydia Lily, of Bradenton, passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2024.

Born February 26, 1972, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to Francisco Rivera and Lydia Tellado. She was preceded in death by her father, Francisco. Carmen is survived by her husband of 6 years, Jean R. Lily of Bradenton, Fl., daughter Carissa B. Oliva, son Joshua A. Santiago, daughter Eliana J. Lily and granddaughter Catalina L. Oliva. She is also survived by her mother, Lydia, two brothers, three sisters, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Carmen, who went by her nickname Lily, was raised in Bay Shore, New York and attended Brentwood High School. She then went on to complete her Medical Assisting certificate and enjoyed a career working in doctor's offices. Carmen was dedicated and compassionate with any patient she cared for. She was funny, witty, smart, loving and affectionate with her family and friends. She enjoyed reading, watching scary movies, makeup, fashion and being with her children and grandchild.

Services are to be held at Shannon Funeral Home in Bradenton (1015 14th St W, Bradenton, FL 34205) at 12:00 (Noon) on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral, at 11:00 am. After the service, Carmen will be laid to rest at Palma Sola Cemetery (8604 9th Ave NW, Bradenton FL 34209).

Carmen's favorite color was purple. Please feel free to wear purple in her honor.

Carmen Lily will be deeply missed, but her warmth and love will live on in the hearts of her children and family forever. Carmen always expressed how much she loved her children and all her family. We hope everyone can remember Carmen for the kind, deeply empathetic, and compassionate person that she was.
