Charlie Langston Sr, 82, of Sarasota, L, departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
Charlie Langston was born on September 8, 1942, in Tallahassee, Florida, to Mr. Isiah Moore and Lillie Mae Johnson. He was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Sarasota, Florida. He was a Veteran of Army and serviced, in The Vietnam War. Once completing his military enlistment, Mr. Langston worked many years as a cement mason.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Mae Johnson, father, Mr. Isiah Moore, his son Charlie Langston Jr., and daughter, Catherine Langston Chestnut.
Left with precious and loving memories are his sons, Lawrence Bryant, Charles (Anna) of Sarasota, Florida, Grandchildren, Jessica Langston-Crawford and Rodney Langston Sr. (Tinikia), Lawrence Bryant Jr, Avery Bryant, De'Vante Bryant, Mailik Bryant, Brianna Bryant, and Marquel Bryant all of Sarasota, Florida. Great Grandchildren, Rodney Langston Jr., Jalissa Langston, Tacoma Langston, Re'al Langston all of Sarasota Florida, and a host of family and friends.
A Visitation is going to be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 1 PM to 3 PM with Homegoing Service to follow at 3 PM at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel: 5624 26th Street West, Bradenton, Florida, 34207.
Mr. Charlie Langston will be laid to rest on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 2 PM at Sarasota National Cemetery: 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241.
