The Bradenton Police Department wished farewell - but not so long - to Captain Jeremy Giddens, who has served the City of Bradenton for more than 25 years.
A Bradenton native, Capt. Giddens joined BPD in 1997, and worked as a Patrol Officer; Field Training Officer; Detective specializing in crimes against children and financial crimes; Sergeant; Lieutenant; and Captain for both Administrative Services and Patrol Support.
He has also been an instrumental representative of Bradenton PD at the Manatee County Emergency Operations Center, helping to coordinate plans for the River Regatta as well as during severe weather threats, to include Hurricane Ian and Tropical Storm Nicole.
Captain Giddens has been named the new Emergency Management Coordinator for Manatee County, so he'll be close by, and we’ll all remain in good hands. Best of luck!
