BRADENTON - Want to get "tweets" from the city government?

The city is considering using Twitter to keep the public informed, Tim McCann said in a press release on Wednesday. So it's conducting a poll on the city's Web site (click on Online Poll to access it) to gauge interest.

Twitter is a free social network service that lets its users send and read short messages in text-based form. The city is exploring sending these messasges, known as "tweets," accompanied by a link to take readers to additional information.
