BRADENTON – Back in 2012, when Mom was rendered out of pocket all day working retail on Black Friday, Dad decided it would be good to get the kids out of the house and do something fun together.
So, Bill Ackles, our Local Business Tax Clerk & Records Management Liaison Officer, brought then 10-year-old Brian and 14-year-old Whitney to City Hall to decorate the building for the holiday season, on a completely volunteer basis, as a family. And they’ve been doing it ever since.
The City Hall lobby, the Council Chambers, and the beautiful Christmas tree are all thanks to the Ackles family spending time together and doing a good deed.
