BRADENTON — Bill Clague, who recently stepped down as Manatee County Attorney, has joined Grimes Galvano. The firm said in a press release that Clague will focus on transactional, land use, and administrative law.

“Bill has dedicated most of his career to serving our community, and he has done so thoughtfully and with the utmost professionalism,” said Caleb Grimes, a partner at Grimes Galvano. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to our firm and appreciate the unique experience and insights he brings. Having Bill join our team bolsters our continued growth as we provide unmatched service to our clients in Manatee County and beyond.”

Clague served Manatee County in various capacities for more than twenty years. Most recently, from January 2021 through February 2024, he was the Manatee County Attorney, where he served as general counsel to the County Government, including the Board of County Commissioners, County Administrator, and County staff.

“Grimes Galvano is a longstanding leader in Manatee County, and I can think of no better place to continue contributing to this wonderful community,” said Clague. “I look forward to working alongside the team to accomplish great things on behalf of our clients.”
