Once the center of hot growth in the county, Parrish residents still have a number of concerns.
The tales of Erie, Erie and Erie; the 69th Street intersection; and commercial development have been written about in the local media.
County commissioners on Thursday will be meeting with the community after a tour of several sites to discuss issues that affect the area.
At 4 p.m., members will take a bus tour through Parrish. Sites on the schedule include the North County Maintenance Facility property, Erie Road, the railroad, the commercial area and the Backstreets of the Village.
At 6 p.m., there will be a worksession at the Parrish Community Center, 7006 122nd Ave. E.
Items on the agenda include an update on the community center and Fort Hamer Bridge, future land use changes, U.S. 301 through the Village, the Erie Road intersection plan and widening of Erie Road from 69th Street to U.S. 301, the Rocky Bluff Library and more.
