Desoto Boys & Girls Clubs Receives $2000 donation

Jaden Hair, the Publisher of Steamy Kitchen and New Asian Cuisine has partnered with EZ Bean Cooker and donated $2000 to the Desoto Boys & Girls Club. Ms. Hair is working with EZ Bean Cooker to develop a recipe for their super-simple one touch bean cooker and coordinated the donation between EZ Bean Cooker, LLC and the Desoto Boys & Girls Club.

EZ Bean Cooker, LLC knows the value of dry beans and wants people to be able to prepare and enjoy them with ease.  Dry beans have high nutritional value; they are high in protein, vitamins and minerals and low in sodium and fat.  Additionally, they are an economical and versatile ingredient.  These characteristics along with their healthy qualities make them a kitchen staple.  Traditionally, dry beans are a time consuming and tedious food to prepare.  With EZ Bean Cooker, dry bean preparation is now as easy as pushing a button and walking away.

Desoto Boys & Girls Clubs strive to teach their young people about healthy living through various programs.  The EZ Bean Cooker partnership is perfect as it focuses on an easy way to be healthy and eat more nutrient-rich foods all while being affordable and easy to use.

The Desoto branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County serves over 200 children.  County wide, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County serve over 4,600 youth at seven locations (Daughtrey Elementary, Harllee Middle School, Johnson Middle School, Southeast High School, Bradenton, DeSoto and Palmetto Clubs).
