BRADENTON – This year United Way’s Day of Caring stepped up to a whole new level. On Thursday, October 3rd volunteers from Desoto, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas, and Sarasota Counties gave back to our communities by participating in projects ranging from landscaping, painting, organizing, and much more.

Companies and organizations volunteering in Manatee County include Fifth Third Bank, Florida Blue, Publix Super Markets, Tampa Bay Rays, Mosaic, United Technologies Systems, Manatee Young Professionals, FCCI, Manatee Chamber of Commerce, Herald Tribune, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, ITW – GSE Holdings dba Hobart Ground Systems, and Gateway Bank.

Because of their massive turn out of volunteers, Publix Super Markets will be working an additional volunteer project for Manatee County Publix associates on Tuesday, October 8th from 8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at the Children’s Academy of Southwest Florida’s East Center at 2601 7th Ave East, Bradenton, FL 34208.

For more information please contact Doreen Ravagnani at dravagnani@uwmc.net or call (941) 748-1313. To sign up as a volunteer visit www.HandsOnManatee.org

Together, we can accomplish more than any single group can on its own. Each of us plays a part. Thank you to all those who chose to LIVE UNITED.
