SARASOTA – All Faiths Food Bank is pleased to announce the addition of two staff members to its team. Susan Michelson Brown will serve as Chief Administrative Officer, and Scott Malcom has been named Director of Operations.

All Faiths Food Bank has served residents in DeSoto and Sarasota Counties for almost 25 years and with the increasing need for healthy and nutritious food, and the expansion of its education programs, two new positions were added to support its efforts.

“We are thrilled to have Susan and Scott join the All Faiths family,” said Executive Director Sandra Frank, “There is greater demand than ever for the services and programs we provide and they bring the skills and experience crucial to our mission and future of feeding the hungry in our community.”

Susan Michelson Brown – Chief Administrative Officer

Susan Michelson Brown was previously Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of an international health organization headquartered in Washington, DC. Her experience has also provided her with the opportunity to be a part of several national systems, participating at both the local affiliate level as well as from the headquarters’ office. Susan and her husband Phil relocated to the Sarasota area in 2012.

Scott Malcom – Director of Operations

Scott joined the leadership team at All Faiths Food Bank after a distinguished military career, retiring as a Colonel in July 2012. While in the U.S. Army, Scott piloted Kiowa Warrior Helicopters in Europe and the Middle East, coordinated logistics and emergency response operations near Korea’s Demilitarized Zone and innovated groundbreaking Public Affairs work for Army Green Berets and Navy SEALs during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. In this final assignment, Scott routinely interacted with the Secretary of Defense, other senior government officials and domestic and international media on contentious issues such as the terrorist detention facility at Guantanamo Bay and the regional war on drugs.
