Community Spotlight: Community Haven Receives Humanitarian Award Grant from Lakewood Ranch Community Fund

SARASOTA – Community Haven for Adults and Children with Disabilities, Inc. President and CEO, Marla Doss along with teacher Carolyn Johnson and student Bryce Burns were among the honored guests at the Humanitarian Award and Grants Reception Celebration on Friday October 18th. Lakewood Ranch honored the agency with a grant gift to be used to support the agencies learning activities with teens with disabilities who attend the Transitions program as well as the new McKay school on the Community Haven campus. 

The Lakewood Ranch Community Fund Board of Advisors always says it is their favorite day; when their hard work and resulting funds are distributed to many worthwhile programs of the areas greatest nonprofit organizations. 

Through these organizations’ gift of time, talent and treasure – Community Haven can continue to provide programs and services that enhance the education, growth & development of individuals with disabilities in the Sarasota and Manatee Counties.
