Community Spotlight: Conquistador Historical Foundation Announces $45,750 in Donations for 2012-2013

The Conquistador Historical Foundation, Inc. recently announced that during their 2012-2013 fiscal year they were able to donate $45,750 to organizations within Manatee County.

Recipients of grants awarded by the Conquistador Historical Foundation were: South Florida Museum, Queen’s Court Scholarships, Manasota Operation Troop Support, Feeding Empty Little Tummies, Manasota Lighthouse for the Blind, Manatee Players Youth Summer Camp, Student Exchange Program, Cure for Kids Foundation, Foundation for Dreams, Blue Knights Youth Ranch, Rocky Bluff Library, State College of Florida, Crewe of De Soto Christmas Adopt A Family, Early Learning Coalition. G.D. Rogers Garden Elementary School and Manatee Education Foundation.

The Conquistador Historical Foundation was created exclusively for charitable, literary and educational programs. The organization's goal at this time is to facilitate and promote an appreciation of Spanish and American historical and cultural alliances while building friendships within our community. It is CHF's hope to be able to give more to our community throughout the 2013-2014 fiscal year.
