Community Spotlight: Donations Sought for Food Pantry by Historical Park on December 6 & 7

PALMETTO – During Palmetto’s Christmas in the Park on December 6and 7, 5:00 to 9:00 pm, the Palmetto Historical Park is collecting non-perishable food items to help stock the food pantry at First United Methodist Church of Palmetto.

When you attend the free event at 515 10th Ave. West in Palmetto, drop your contributions in one of the collection boxes at the two main park entrances.

Since January 2013, this food pantry has provided food for 2,942 families. The pantry is staffed and operated by volunteers from First United Methodist Church of Palmetto, Family of God Methodist Church and Ellenton Methodist Church.
