Community Spotlight: Jonathan Fleece of Blalock Walters Wins MCBA Community Service Award

Johnette Isham of Realize Bradenton presents Community Service Award to Jonathan Fleece

BRADENTON – Jonathan D. Fleece, leader of Blalock Walters, P.A.’s Business and Health Care Law Practice Groups, was honored with the 2013 Community Service Award by the Manatee County Bar Association; one of only two awards given by the Association each year. The award is presented to the lawyer who demonstrates a commitment to the community and exemplifies the best of the lawyers of our community. He was a unanimous selection by the committee.

Blalock, Esq. received the Award on the very first time it was presented. It is an honor that on the 15th anniversary of this, now our very own Jonathan Fleece has won it,” said Clifford L. Jonathan also won Health Care Hero of the Year, Non-Physician Category in 2012 by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. He is former Chair of the Manatee Health Care Alliance, current Chair of the Health Care Committee of Manatee Chamber of Commerce and Vice Chair of Community Development & Communication for the Chamber, on the Board of Directors of Tidewell Hospice, and former Vice Chair of We Care Manatee. Fleece is co-author of the acclaimed book, The New Health Age: The Future of Health Care in America. He is Board Certified in Health Law by The Florida Bar.
