LAKEWOOD RANCH – Lou Marinaccio, representing MGA Insurance Group and the National Association of Professional Agents (NAPA), is heading to Washington, D.C. for the Agents for Change Annual Legislative Conference. The event runs from May 14-15.

Marinaccio, along with other Agents for Change members, will spend Wednesday meeting with members of Congress and their staff. The Federal Office of Insurance is expected to release its long-awaited report on the state of insurance regulation in the United States prior to the meeting.

Lou is the president and CEO of MGA, which is headquartered in Lakewood Ranch. Working in the insurance field since the early 1980s, Lou is an industry veteran who continually adapts to the complex and ever-changing insurance business with great success. A graduate from the University of Bridgeport, Lou studied at the University as an evening student, while simultaneously serving with the Connecticut National Guard, 242nd Engineer Battalion.

Lou began his business career with General Electric Company in Connecticut. This position afforded him the opportunity to develop his marketing and sales skills before moving into the insurance field and working with industry leaders including Allstate and Prudential.

MGA Insurance Group, made up of MGA Financial Services, MGA Insurance Services and MGA Insurance Agency, was conceptualized and developed by Lou in Chicago, IL. To act on new opportunities and accommodate company expansion, the decision was made to consolidate all divisions into a centralized location in Southwest Florida in 1999.
