PALMETTO – Manatee School for the Arts students have adopted parks in the City of Palmetto as a community service project. The student group is known as the MSA Action Team and is sponsored by MSA faculty member Kevin Gush.

This Saturday, May 17, the MSA Action Team will meet at the 17th Street Park in Palmetto at 8:00 a. m. to begin cleanup of graffiti on park equipment. Mayor Shirley Groover Bryant will be on hand for the inaugural project to thank the students for their commitment to community service.

All cleaning supplies and safety equipment for the students will be provided by the City of Palmetto Parks Department.
