Community Spotlight: MTI Dedicates New Campus in Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Speaking at the event were Karen Carpenter, Chair, School Board of Manatee County; Dr. David E. Gayler, Superintendent, School District of Manatee County; Bob Bartz, President, Manatee County Chamber of Commerce; Dr. Richard Conard, Chairman Emeritus, MTI Board of Governors; and John Ziemnicki, Chair, MTI Board of Governors and MTI Foundation.

MTI provided the setting for a unique dedication ceremony, which included multiple ribbon cuttings throughout the facility, recognizing many individuals who have contributed to the creation of this first-class institution.

The new Manatee Tech represents a modern, high-tech training facility to meet the workforce needs of Manatee County. Over 2,000 students a year are expected to be served in the new 210,000 square-foot building, which cost approximately $44 million.
