BRADENTON – Ortygia Restaurant received a grant to feed Sicilian food to 500 people for free on Dr. Martin Luther King’s Birthday. Chef Gaetano Cannata was one of 22 recipients that received the MLK Day of In-Service Grant.

Chef Gaetano has been a super hero to this community for over 20 years helping abused children and the homeless. Receiving this grant is another opportunity for him to give back to the community and share his love for Sicilian cuisine.

Join Chef Gaetano and many other volunteers on Monday January 20, 2014 to celebrate the birthday of one of the most admired men in history. Meals will be provided to the public on the patio from 1pm-7pm or until the food runs out.

For those residents that are homebound there will be free delivery service available. For more information please call Ortygia Restaurant at 941-741-8646. Ortygia Restaurant is located at 1418 13th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34205.
