BRADENTON – This month, Publix associates made an enormous impact on our community by volunteering their time and effort on July 8 at Manatee Glens Hospital & Addiction Center, the non-profit, specialty hospital and outpatient practice in Bradenton treating mental health and addictions in youth, adults and seniors. Through the United Way of Manatee County, over 125 volunteers began their day in the heat beautifying the grounds by raking, weeding, washing company vehicles, and landscaping (plants were donated by Turner Tree and Landscaping).

The enormity of the project can be summed up with a quote from a Manatee Glens Maintenance and Grounds keeper, “They were able to do the work of an entire year in just half a day, and we can’t thank them enough”.

Publix and its associates are dedicated to improving our community, and through their work on that day, they exemplified what it means to Live United. The enormity of the project can be summed up with a quote from a Manatee Glens Maintenance and Grounds keeper, “They were able to do the work of an entire year in just half a day, and we can’t thank them enough.”
