Constance “Connie” Novak, a generous, thoughtful, and faith-filled Christian woman, passed away on March 30, 2026, in Bradenton, Florida, after a stroke.
She was born on October 25, 1956, in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, and lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and the quiet strength with which she cared for others. Connie was a woman of deep compassion and steady kindness. She carried herself with grace and warmth, and those who knew her were blessed by her gentle spirit and her sincere concern for the well-being of others. Her life reflected the values she held most dear, and she was a source of comfort, encouragement, and love to many. She was a woman who believed in the goodness of God, and her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life.
A registered nurse by training, Connie devoted herself to the care of others in meaningful and practical ways. She also helped her father at the Animal Hospital, where her willingness to serve and her dependable nature were evident to all who worked alongside her. Later in life, she stayed at home with her children, pouring her heart into the daily work of motherhood. In every season of life, she gave of herself freely and faithfully, always placing the needs of her loved ones close to her heart. Connie found great joy in the simple and beautiful things of life. She loved to read, and she enjoyed spending time with her family above all else. Her home and her heart were places of welcome, where love was expressed in both words and actions. She treasured the moments shared with those closest to her, and her presence brought peace, laughter, and a sense of belonging to family gatherings and everyday life alike.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael Novak and will be lovingly remembered by their children, Thomas Novak and his wife Chelsea and Christopher Novak and his wife Carson. She will be reunited with her parents Dr. Clair & Edie Butler and is survived by her siblings, Sherry Matos, Laurie Sheridan, and Jay Butler. Connie was a proud and loving grandmother to AnnaClair Novak and Cooper Novak. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Connie’s life was a testimony to faith, love, and service. She lived with a generous heart and a thoughtful spirit, and she offered her care without hesitation. Her words, her prayers, and her presence brought reassurance to those around her. She was a woman who trusted the Lord, and her life reflected the peace that comes from walking in faith. Though her absence leaves a deep sorrow, her loved ones take comfort in the promise of eternal life and in the hope of reunion through Christ. She will be remembered not only for what she did, but for who she was.
Connie Novak was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and her legacy of kindness and faith will continue to shine through the lives she touched. May she rest in the peace of her Savior, and may her memory remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
