As we welcome the fall season, we look forward to cooler temperatures, community gatherings, and holidays that bring families, friends, and neighbors together. Hurricane season is not yet behind us, however, and I encourage everyone to stay informed and prepared.
Throughout Bradenton, important work continues on our city’s infrastructure, particularly improvements to our wastewater collection and treatment systems. These
efforts include upgrading lift stations, rehabilitating aging manholes and sewer lines, and updating equipment at our treatment facilities. Much of this work takes place out of sight, but it is essential to protecting our environment, strengthening system reliability, and improving quality of life for our residents, both today and future generations.
I continue to encourage everyone to stay connected and informed about what is happening in our city. The City’s website, cityofbradenton.com, and social media platforms provide valuable information about projects, community events, public meetings, and services. I also encourage residents to use MyBradenton 311 to report non-emergency concerns that require City attention and take advantage of the City’s updated utility payment services for more convenient account and payment management.
Please also be on the lookout for opportunities to attend City events and informational gatherings, such as the recent Public Works and Utilities Projects Open house. These events provide a wonderful opportunity to meet the dedicated employees who serve our community, learn firsthand about ongoing and future projects, ask questions, and better understand the work taking place throughout Bradenton. Just as importantly, they provide opportunities for residents to share concerns and ideas. Your voice matters, and staying engaged helps us build a stronger, more informed, and connected community.
I want to extend my sincere appreciation to our City employees for their continued dedication and commitment to serving our residents. Their efforts, often behind the scenes, help make Bradenton a better place to live, work, and play.
As the holidays approach, I hope we all take time to appreciation the people, partnerships, and sense of community that make Bradenton special. May the coming months bring opportunities to reconnect, celebrate our blessings, and extend kindness to our neighbors. Together, through continued communication, collaboration, and community involvement, we can keep moving Bradenton forward while ensuring that the needs of our residents remain at the heart of everything we do.
