With less than a week remaining to the Midterms, Indivisible Manatee says voters are energized and motivated to make their voices heard at the ballot box. IM has prepared for this important moment for months by enlisting thousands of residents to participate in rallies, town halls, educational presentations, and election security training and workshops in neighborhoods and communities across Manatee County.
Dozens of non-profits, grassroots organizations, government agencies, media outlets and minority-based groups have participated in IM efforts to keep our residents informed and engaged, including Manatee Community Foundation; Bradenton-Sarasota Chapter of The Links, Incorporated; Manatee County Libraries; Suncoast Searchlight; GAMMA Xi Chapter of the Boule, Inc.; Manatee County League of Women Voters; and State College of Florida (SCF).
In the final hours leading up to Election Day, IM will be conducting yet another VOTE EARLY rally in Cortez (637 W. Cortez Road) this Saturday, Oct. 31st from 10 am – 12 noon. “Manatee residents need to exercise their right to vote and we will keep reminding them down to the wire,” said Karen Curlin, spokesperson for IM and a member of the IM leadership team. “Early voting is available at eight locations across the County up to 6 pm on Sunday, Nov. 1st,” she added.
As of Monday, Oct. 26th, Manatee County Supervisor of Elections reports that more than 67,000 ballots have been cast via Early Voting or Vote-By-Mail, resulting in a 23% turnout. “With less than a week available for Early Voting, every registered voter MUST exercise their Constitutional right to vote!” Curlin said. Vote-By-Mail ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections no later than 7 pm on Election Day and can be dropped at any Early Voting location or to the Manatee County Election Office (
600 301 Blvd. W., Suite 108).
“This election is likely the most important one in my lifetime and will impact the future of this country for decades,” shared Curlin. “Please join thousands of your Manatee County neighbors in casting your ballot and keeping American elections free and safe,” she concluded.
