A citizens advisory committee has three vacancies to fill, the county said in a press release.
The committee hears the appeals of decisions and interpretations of the Manatee County building official. The board also considers requested variances of technical codes.
Interested applicants should have knowledge and experience in technical building codes. Design professionals, contractors, engineers, developers, Realtors and other building industry professionals are encouraged to apply. Applicants must either reside in or own a business in Manatee County.
The group meets on an as-needed basis in the first-floor chambers of Manatee County Administrative Center, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
Applications are due March 12 and may be found online.
