Craig Allen Grant, 83 of Bradenton, FL passed away in his home on May 14, 2026.
Craig was born on September 15, 1942, in Mishawaka, IN to Herbert and Ida Belle Grant, who preceded him in death, as well as his brother, Kurt Grant.
On August 22, 1964, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Powell. Together, they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, faith, family and adventure.
Craig is survived by his wife, Carolyn and his two daughters, Cheryl (Bill) Finnerty of Holly Springs, NC and Jennifer (Dennis) Osiwala of Bradenton, FL, and his beloved grandsons, Ryan and Joshua Finnerty, also of Holly Springs, NC. He is also survived by his brother Kent (Deann) Grant of Woodridge, IL, brothers-in-law Robert (Marsha) Powell of Syracuse, IN and Dr. Ronald Powell of Mishawaka, IN. There are many nieces and nephews who he dearly loved.
Craig graduated from Purdue University School of Forestry in 1965 and dedicated 32 years of service as a forester for the City of Detroit, MI. In 2001, following retirement, Craig and Carolyn moved to Bradenton, FL to enjoy their next chapter of life together.
He was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ since the age of 15 and served his Lord with all of his heart. He spent many years as a Sunday school teacher of youth and adults. His life was guided by faith, kindness and humility. He found great joy in the out of doors with fishing, golfing and traveling, and treasured the many memories made with family and friends throughout the years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes 43rd St. Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL, 34209.
