Oil Hits Loop Current

NEW ORLEANS -- Oil from the gulf spill has made its way into the loop Current, threatening a quicker dissemination throughout the gulf. BP will try a large scale effort on Sunday, attempting to drill mud into the well to seal it.

Wall Street Reform Bill Fails in Senate

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- A bill aimed at reforming Wall Street regulations failed in the senate yesterday 57-42, making it unlikely that the bill will move forward without significant changes.

Tar Balls in Florida Keys Not From Gulf Spill

KEY WEST -- The U.S. Coast Guard is reporting that tar balls found in the Dry Tortugas and Key West do not match the composition of oil from the Florida Gulf. Their source is not known at this time.
