Indian Airplane Overshoots Runway, Kills 158

A Boeing 737 that took off in Dubai and was attempting a scheduled landing in Mangalore, crashed into a ravine and exploded after overshooting its runway. There were eight survivors.

As oil begins seeping ashore in Louisiana, officials are not sure how to best begin clean-up efforts. Burning the oil and flooding the beaches are both being considered, as the next effort to plug the well will not take place until Tuesday.

Jordan Romero of Big Bear California became the youngest person to ever reach the summit of the world's biggest mountain, at some 29,028 feet.
