Dale R. Dobbs, 79, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 8th, 2024, surrounded by family and loved ones.
He was born on April 10, 1945 and raised in Flint, Michigan. After graduating high school, he went on to serve 4 years in the United States Air Force. After his years of service, he attended Flint Junior College, obtaining his AA degree in Business/Marketing. He spent his professional years in the Banking community until retiring in 2004. He dedicated a decade as an assistant coach to the Manatee High School Girls Basketball, Girls Softball and Manatee Community College Women's Basketball.
Dale was a devoted husband to his wife, Ann Dobbs, of 58 years and a father to his two daughters, Susan Johnson (John) and Cindy Kuhns and proud grandfather to Rylee Kuhns and Mya Johnson. He was a constant source of support and inspiration to his family, whose love he cherished deeply.
Dale was a member of Gulf Coast Corvette Club, the National Council of Corvette Clubs, the Manatee Chamber of Commerce including the Better Business Council, Manatee High Booster Club and the DeSoto Historical Society.
In addition to his wife, daughters, son in law and granddaughters, he leaves behind his brother Larry Dobbs (Christine), sister-in laws, Beth Pascoe, Dru Mitchell, Jane Ranville (Dennis), and brother-in-law Rod Wilson (Cindy), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded by his parents Charles and Margaret Dobbs.
Dale was known for his kindness and warm personality with a willingness to listen. He built lasting friendships and left a mark on all who knew him. His enthusiasm for life was best displayed by his time spent with his granddaughters.
Dale's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many lives he touched. His legacy is one of love, community, and a well-lived life.
