New Albany, Indiana - Dan L. Parker, 91, a resident of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2024 at his home in New Albany with his family by his side. He was born in Bedford, IN. to the late Helen and Charles Parker and went on to graduate from Indiana University Bloomington where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He was the Editor of the Sullivan (IN) Daily Times, Past President of the Indiana Democratic Editorial Association, Commissioner of the Indiana Athletic Commission, a Life Member of the BPO Elks Club, an Officer in the United States Air Force, the Pendennis Club, the Racquet Club of El Conquistador and he was a Sagamore of the Wabash. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Anne Jamison Parker, his son: John D. Parker, and his sister: Barbara Turner.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years: Eloise Richardson Parker, his son: Jeffrey J. Parker (Beth), his brother: David Parker(Susan), his grandchildren: Dan, Sara, Alexandra, Ross and Drew Parker, his step-daughter: Rachel Ferrazzi (Jason), his step-son: Erin Kelley (Leslie Witt), and his step-grandchildren: Gabby and Eloise Ferrazzi, Violet Kelley and Isaiah Mickelson.

A Celebration of Dan's Life will be held at a later date in Bradenton.

Memorial contributions may be given to: The Boys and Girls Clubs of America, the Floyd County Animal Rescue League (FCARL), a local charity or a United Methodist Church of the donor's choice.
