Daniel "Dan" Murray, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on October 7, 2022.
Dan married his high school sweetheart Patty in September of 1958 and was married for 64 years. He had 4 sons and their spouses Kevin (Lisa Anne), Timothy (Lisa Brook), Daniel (Pam) and Michael (Lisa Chandler). He loved his 8 grandchildren, Lindsay, Caroline, Taylor, Parker, Ashley, Matthew, Molly and Charlie.
He was predeceased by his grandchildren Daniel and Julie. In addition, he had 2 great-grandchildren Jason and Jacob. His sister Mary Jane is living in Lowville NY.
He attended St Clements grammar school and Saratoga Springs High School in Saratoga Springs, NY. He played Basketball and Baseball and was President of his High school class. He attended and graduated from Seton Hall University in South Orange NJ. He was Vice President of his senior class in college. He served in the Army as a Lieutenant at Fort Lee Virginia for 2 years after college. He retired as Vice President of Sales and Marketing from the RT French Company in Rochester NY after a 35-year career. After his retirement from the private sector, he took a job with his alma mater Seton Hall University as the Director of Alumni relations.
He is survived by his wife Patty, his 4 sons and spouses, and his grandchildren.
The family would like to thank his caregivers Kim Zavala and Phil Polson for the support at the end of his life. They would also like to thank Dan’s Physician Dr. Albert Petrosino.
His family is planning a ceremony to celebrate his life in Saratoga Springs at a date to be determined later in 2022. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26th Street West Bradenton, FL 34207 is in charge of the arrangements.
