Daytona Beats Bradenton 4-2 Wednesday Afternoon

BRADENTON – The Daytona Cubs (16-26) scored the game’s final four run on the way to a 4-2 win over the Marauders on Wednesday at McKechnie Field. Jason Creasy struck out five Cubs while allowing one run over five innings, but received a no decision as the Cubs rallied to win.

Raul Fortunato led off the third with a single, stole second, and went to third on a sacrifice bunt by Roy before Crumlich put the Marauders up 2-0.

Daytona plated a run in the fifth against Creasy, but stranded the tying run at third in the inning. The Cubs got the tying run to third base for a second straight inning with one out, but Robby Rowland (L, 1-5) got a pop out and a fly out. To keep the Marauders on top.

Daytona took the lead in the seventh inning on a two-run homer by Marco Hernandez against Rowland. The Cubs tacked on a run in the ninth on Gioskar Amaya’s RBI single to score Wilson Contreras.
