Doctors Mona and Anila Jain to be Recognized at MCRHS Foundation Event in October

PALMETTO – The Manatee County Rural Health Services Foundation will hold its 8th Annual Edger H. Price Jr. Lifetime Achievement Awards Dinner on Thursday, October 1. This year's dinner–"A Lifetime of Caring"–will commemorate the achievements of Drs. Mona and Anila Jain.

In addition to her medical work, Dr. Mona Jain, a Fulbright scholar, has taught at Riverview High, Bayshore Middle and Bayshore High. Anila graduated from medical school at the University of South Florida, where she was part of the one percent of females making up the USF medical student body at that time. Immigrating from India when Anila was 5 years old, Mona and her daughter have dedicated their lives in America to practicing medicine in the Manasota region.

Cocktails at the event will be served starting at 5:30 p.m.; the program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served by Fte Catering. Tables will be $125 per person; table sponsorship of a 10 person table will go for $1,000.
