Donna O Hedrick, 87, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2022.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished wife and best friend to her late husband, Emory Hedrick. A loving mother to her children, Scot Hedrick (Michael) and Kent (Kim) Hedrick. Donna was a proud grandmother to Kristopher (Joey) Hedrick and Kristi Hedrick. She adored her two great grandson’s Chevy and Henry Oliver Hedrick.
Donna was born February 24, 1935, to the late Charles and Mabel Ogburn in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. Donna earned a master's degree in education at the University of West Florida and loved her time as an elementary school teacher.
Donna’s passion was quilting, both teaching others how to quilt as well as making beautiful quilts. She shared her love of quilting by teaching quilt making as part of the Prayer Quilt Ministry at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Palmetto, Florida. She loved hotdogs more than steak and would never turn down a bowl of ice cream. However, those close to her knew never to offer her watermelon. Donna had a great sense of humor matched with a beautiful smile.
She was a kind and loving person who will be missed deeply by many.
