Bradenton, Florida - Dorothy Elizabeth "Dot" Rosendale (née Booth), age 81, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at Tidewell Hospice House in Bradenton, Florida, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Born on September 23, 1943, in Quantico, Virginia, Dorothy was a devoted Christian who found great joy in praise and worship at Church of the Cross now Bayside on 26th Street in Bradenton. She cherished her time with her beloved bible study group, affectionately known as the "Sister Chicks," especially their gatherings at the beach where fellowship and faith intertwined.

Dorothy dedicated her time to volunteer work within her church and local community. She found particular fulfillment assisting at the church food bank.

She is lovingly remembered by her Daughter Andrea Merritt; Granddaughters Brittany Brashear and Samantha Nunez; Great-Grandchildren Carsyn Barrera, Peyton Jordan, Elliott Nunez, Michael Jordan, Eddie Quistian, and Emma Paredes; and brothers Gerald Booth and James Booth.

Her husband Ralph Rosendale preceded her in death, as did her parents James and Dorothy Booth.

Dorothy is to be cremated and at her request no formal service will be held. The family will have a small private ceremony at sea before setting her afloat to return to the earth and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
