Survived: ex-wife Erika Zimmerman, daughter Cassidy Graeber, and mother, Ruby Nern (Bradenton, FL). Preceded: father, Robert Nern (Fort Wayne, IN), and brother Gary Nern (AZ.). During his school years, Doug was a popular kid known for always being involved in lively, often mischievous activities. Grad of Snider High School, All State Cross Country 3.2 mile 1984-1987, #9 in record books time 15:53.
Doug was a skilled electrician who worked for "My Warrior's Place" in Ruskin, Florida, veterans, military service members. He maintained their buildings and took veterans out to fish and listen.
